I have compiled a list of some of my favorite ways to save money. Here are six practical and easy ways to save a buck or two or more!
Competitors Coupons- One that we take advantage of often is Great Clips. They take coupons from Fantastic Sam's etc. This saves us about $3 to $4 per kid.
Expired Coupons - We do this ALL the time at Papa Murphy's. We eat pizza often. Like a lot. I have a folder that I have been saving Papa Murphy's coupons for years. The other day I ordered a $12 pizza and had an expired coupon that saved me $6. You can use a coupon for every pizza so we usually get a few and have leftovers for lunches. Burger King accepts expired coupons as well.
Birthday Clubs - Here are a few things I got for completely free on my last birthday because I have an app or I am a part of their rewards program: free meal from Red Robin, free drink from Starbucks, free ice cream from Cold Stone, free pretzel from Auntie Anne's, free smoothie from Jamba Juice and free lipstick from Sephora. And those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head. Love me some free stuff!
Costco discounted gift cards - Going out to dinner? Buying gift cards? Heading to the movies? Buy coffee often? Check out Costco's gift card selection. You can save up to 30% off gift cards there. The last time I was there they had discounted gift cards to Cold Stone, Krispy Kreme, Wake Up Call coffee, Triple Play, Regal Cinemas, P.F. Chang's, Buca di Beppo and many more. Definitely worth checking out.
Tuesday movie deals - I went to a movie the other night with some girlfriends and it was $11.25 a ticket! Wowza! But if you have a Regal Cinemas rewards card, movies are just $5.65 on Tuesdays. Popcorn is half price too! AMC Theaters has $5 Ticket Tuesdays for their AMC Stubs members also. See you at the movies (but only on Tuesdays because that deal is too good to pass up!)
Grocery store markdowns - I love a good deal. I mean LOVE a good deal. I have been finding such good buys at a grocery store by my house lately. This store is usually pretty pricey in my opinion, but I have been making out like a bandit in their meat department. I just wander through every time I am there and see what markdowns they have. I look for the yellow 50% off this package sticker and stock up on what we need. Now, this meat needs to be used pretty quickly or thrown in the freezer, which is what I do anyway. I scored a 2 lb. flank steak originally marked for $20.88 for $3.12 the other day. You just have to keep your eyes open and be careful to buy only what you will use and not just buy because it's a good deal. That's something that is hard for me to do sometimes! I love a good deal if you can't tell!
I hope I gave you a few ideas on ways to save a little bit of money here and there. Happy deal finding, friends!
