Jana Farace’s Canopy story starts early—with a savings account her father helped her open when she was just a young girl.
Years later, in 1986, Jana walked through Canopy’s doors as a teller and began what would become an incredible 40-year career. Today, she serves as the Vice President of Risk Management, but through every position she held, one thing has remained constant: her love for our members.
Over the past four decades, Jana has helped Canopy navigate countless changes, from the introduction of credit and debit cards to computers and mobile banking. She eagerly takes on new responsibilities and learns new skills, tirelessly providing our community with the best resources and services available.
Even after 40 years, Jana says she’s still growing every day. Her curiosity and dedication led to amazing changes for our credit union.
While Jana’s accomplishments are numerous, she is especially proud of creating Canopy’s Fraud Squad.
The Fraud Squad represents so much of what Jana brings to Canopy. It combines her expertise, commitment to protecting our members, and, most importantly, her desire to make a meaningful difference in our community.
From the young girl whose father opened her first Canopy account to the Vice President of Risk Management, Jana’s journey is a remarkable example of how something that starts small can grow into something truly special.
Jana’s hard work, care, and passion for our community have made Canopy a special place for our team and members. We’re grateful she has chosen to dedicate her career to our Credit Union—Canopy wouldn’t be the same without her.
