40 years of growing with canopy: Celebrating Jana Farace
Jana Farace’s story starts early—with a savings account her father opened for her when she was just a young girl.
Years later, in 1986, Jana walked through Canopy’s doors as a teller and began what would become an incredible 40-year career. Today, she serves as Canopy’s Vice President of Risk Management, but through every role and every chapter, one thing has remained constant: her love for our members.
Jana loved being a teller because it gave her the opportunity to connect with people. She got to know members, hear their stories and help them along their financial journeys. That connection became the foundation for the way she approached every role that followed.
Over the past four decades, Jana has helped Canopy navigate countless changes in the financial world—from the introduction of credit and debit cards and computers to telephone and mobile banking. She has taken on new responsibilities, learned new skills and continued to grow alongside the organization.
And she’s not done learning yet.
Even after 40 years, Jana says she is still learning and growing every day. Her curiosity and dedication have helped her make an impact in countless ways, including one accomplishment she is especially proud of: helping create Canopy’s Fraud Squad.
The Fraud Squad reflects so much of what Jana brings to Canopy. It combines her expertise, her commitment to protecting our members and, most importantly, her desire to make a difference.
From the young girl whose father opened her first Canopy account to the teller who loved getting to know members to the Vice President of Risk Management she is today, Jana’s journey is a remarkable example of what it means to grow with an organization—and to never stop growing.
